WHO WE ARE
Welcome!
Thank you for visiting our website! We invite you to join us in worship each Sunday at 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM. Our services are also live-streamed on our YouTube channel, where you can also check out all of our past sermons.
We are a Christian church committed to the historic Reformed faith as contained in Holy Scripture. Formerly named First Protestant Reformed Church of Edmonton, we have been organized as a congregation since 1975, and have recently relocated to St. Albert, where we rent space and worship out of the Braeside Presbyterian Church, at 6 Bernard Drive, St. Albert, Alberta. We are a welcoming congregation made up of families and individuals of all ages, including many children.
Our congregation belongs to the Protestant Reformed Churches in America (PRCA), a denomination that consists of 31 congregations, located all around the United States and in Canada. The PRCA was founded as a denomination in 1924 after three ministers and their consistories were deposed from the Christian Reformed Church for opposing the doctrinal errors of Common Grace. We are steadfastly determined to uphold the biblical truth that the Grace of God is not common to all, but particular to His elect, and sovereign—efficaciously saving all those to whom it comes. Beyond 1924, we trace our lineage through the great Reformation of the 16th century, which was led by men like Martin Luther and John Calvin, all the way back to the apostles and Jesus Christ.

Our churches have officially adopted the creeds that make up the Three Forms of Unity: the Heidelberg Catechism, the Belgic Confession, and the Canons of Dordt, as accurate and faithful summaries of the teachings of Holy Scripture. Additionally, our church life is governed by the Church Order of Dordt, ensuring that all things are done decently and in good order, according to the Word of God.

Our denomination maintains The Protestant Reformed Seminary, a theological school located in Grandville, Michigan, where all of our pastors are trained.
Convicted that the gospel must be proclaimed to every creature under heaven the PRCA is also engaged in mission work, in places like India and Myanmar, a mission field within the United States, and two full-time foreign missionaries who work in the Philippines. We also have a sister church in Ballymena, Northern Ireland, and in Singapore. We have a corresponding relationship with the Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Australia.
Weekly catechism classes are held. In these classes the youth of the church (from ages 6-18) are instructed in the history and doctrine of God’s Word. We have an Adult Bible Study for adults of all ages.
